Did you know…
Laser therapy can fix cavities without a drill!
ULCER AND COLD SORE TREATMENTS
Is your kiddo dealing with a mouth ulcer or pesky cold sore? Our laser therapy treatment can alleviate the pain of mouth ulcers or cold sores, reduce their healing time, and may even reduce recurrence of these conditions.
Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist
Rest assured that your child is receiving top-notch, specialized care with our Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist. To be recognized by The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, doctors must undergo extensive training in the pediatric field in addition to their standard dental degrees.
Strengthening Early Cavities
Our laser technology can halt and even reverse early tooth decay. By strengthening weakened enamel, we can often treat small cavities without drilling, preserving more of your child's natural tooth structure.
Laser for Cavity Treatments
Say goodbye to the drill! Our gentle laser removes decay with precision, often without the need for anesthesia. It's quieter, more comfortable, and helps preserve healthy tooth structure.
Frenectomy Treatments
We use advanced laser technology for quick and precise frenectomies. This gentle approach means less discomfort, faster healing, and improved oral function for issues like tongue-tie or lip-tie.
Needle-Free Dentistry
Our laser treatments often eliminate the need for injections. This needle-free approach reduces anxiety and discomfort, making dental visits a more positive experience for your child.
Stress-Free Sedation Options
No child deserves to struggle with fear or pain during treatment. Sedation options are an effective way to help your kiddo get the care they need without discomfort or anxiety. Talk to your child’s dentist to learn more about what sedation option will best fit their needs.
The Benefits of Laser Dentistry
Improved Accuracy & Precision
Laser tools use extremely focused, precise beams of light to remove tissue from the gums, cheeks, and other areas of the mouth. They're much more precise than traditional tools, like scalpels, which enhances your child’s overall outcome.
Dramatically Reduced Pain & Bleeding
The high heat of lasers cauterizes (seals) tissue, blood vessels, and nerve endings on contact. This means that laser treatments are virtually pain-free, making it easier on your child’s mouth.
Faster Healing & Recovery Time
Since lasers are more accurate and precise and are less invasive than traditional dental tools, this adds up to a simpler, faster, and more comfortable recovery process after your child’s procedure. Your child will have a reduced healing period and be more comfortable every step of the way.
The Laser Therapy Process
Initial Consultation & Diagnosis
Initial Consultation & Diagnosis
To begin, we will have you and your child come in for a consult. There we will discuss their dental needs and if your child is a good candidate for treatment. We will create a personalized plan unique to your child’s individual needs.
Laser Treatment
Laser Treatment
If we decide that laser therapy is the best option for your kiddo, they’ll come in for treatment. We also have the option of sedation with our laser treatments for children who are anxious or who have special needs. We will conduct the treatment using our laser tools while ensuring you and your child feel comfortable through it all.
Healing & Recovery
Healing & Recovery
After your child’s appointment, we will give you instructions on aftercare, then send your child on their way to rest and recover. Usually, children can get back to their normal routine after only a day or two. However, it’s important to carefully follow any post-op instructions so that your child can heal safely and properly.

Absolutely. Dental lasers are approved by the FDA and are completely safe when used by a trained dentist. Because the laser tool conducts such a precise procedure, there is a smaller chance of bacterial infection. This minimally invasive treatment also causes little to no bleeding for patients. When undergoing laser treatments, your dentist will take precautions to ensure your child’s safety, just as they would with any other treatment. Since laser tools emit a powerful light, they will give your child special protective glasses or goggles to shield your eyes. Laser dentistry is safer and more comfortable than many other traditional procedures.
No! Laser treatments are very comfortable and convenient. Plus, in many cases, anesthesia isn’t required! Since laser dentistry does not involve physical contact with the tissue of the mouth, numbing agents aren’t usually required. The laser pinpoint causes a cauterizing effect within the tissue, so there is typically very little bleeding after treatment. With laser dentistry, your child can quickly get back to their day-to-day routine.
Since laser dentistry is still determined to be an elective treatment, most insurance plans do not cover laser treatments. However, it's important to check with your provider to get a better understanding of your coverage and benefits. The cost of treatment will vary based on your child’s individual needs, so we recommend scheduling a consultation to get a more accurate cost estimate.
